Ornamental peach variety FREZY GRAND

 

 

    It belongs to group of half-double saucer like varieties. Tree is medium vigorous with round top with claret or purple-claret shoots. It blossoms abundantly in early period ( the end of March- beginning of April) with 15-22 round-oval, flat petals of tender purple-pink color with age color becomes lighter (pale-purple-pink) and nails and stamens becomes bright purple. Variety is very resistant to mildew. On South Coast of the Crimes it is characterized with high winter-resistance. While using in landscape gardening of other regions it is recommended to plant then in places defended from frosts.
